You're planning to visit the hills during winter vacation. But hills don't just mean North Bengal. If you want to spend a couple of days in the lap of nature, surrounded by the enchanting green hills, you can choose Tilaitanre, a remote village in Purulia. Purulia has a different beauty during the palash season.
However, if you can endure the bone-chilling cold, the beauty of this place can captivate your mind even in winter. This village is located in the foothills of Ayodhya Hills.
What will you see?
If you want to escape the urban hustle and spend some time with nature, you can definitely visit Tilaitanre. The inside of the eco resort is so beautiful that you won't feel like going anywhere else. Such a green environment is good not only for the mind but also for the eyes. There's a waterfall nearby. The water flows and merges into Tilaitanre Dam.
It takes about forty minutes to walk there. The sunrise and sunset views from here are absolutely unmissable. You can also enjoy boating in the dam if you wish. If you have time, you can also visit Muruguma Dam, Bamni Falls, Marble Lake, and Ayodhya Hill Top from here.

If you want to go by road, there are direct buses from Dharmatala to Purulia. If you have your own car, that's even better. You can reach Purulia within 6-7 hours. From there, hiring a car to reach Tilaitanre will take about another hour.
Where to stay?
