The Indian team won by 101 runs against South Africa in the first T20 match, with their bowlers dominating. But the rhythm shown by Jasprit Bumrah and Arshdeep Singh in Mullanpur is bound to increase concerns for the Indian team management. India's pacers failed to take a single wicket in the second T20 match against South Africa. Arshdeep conceded 54 runs in four overs. Bumrah wasn't far behind either. He gave away 45 runs in four overs. Hardik Pandya and Shivam Dube also leaked runs. Quinton de Kock played a 90-run innings by hitting them all around.

Arshdeep Singh was under so much pressure that he bowled seven wide balls in the 11th over. He conceded extra runs while trying to bowl outside the range of de Kock and Markram. After this incident, head coach Gautam Gambhir was seen looking at him quite angrily and irritated. Arshdeep had given away only eight runs in the first over. But in the next three overs, he conceded 12, 18 and 16 runs respectively. Despite playing at his home ground, Punjab, Arshdeep could never become threatening.

Jasprit Bumrah would also want to forget this match at Mullanpur. Thursday's bowling performance has entered the top five worst bowling figures of his T20 career. He conceded 45 runs in four overs without taking a single wicket. He also conceded two sixes in one over against Quinton de Kock. Not only that, he was seen bowling countless full-toss deliveries throughout the match. His yorkers also lacked sharpness.

All-rounders Hardik Pandya and Shivam Dube also failed to provide confidence. Hardik conceded 34 runs in three overs. Shivam gave away 18 runs, bowling two overs. None of them took a wicket. Taking advantage of this opportunity, South Africa scored 213 runs. Quinton de Kock played a 90-run innings off 46 balls.
