ICC men's T20I World Cup 2026: Ticket sales begin from today, here is everything you should know

ICC announces T20 World Cup 2026 ticket sales; affordable prices aim to give every fan stadium access.

The ICC T20I World Cup 2026 is going to start on 7th February and before that ICC announced that tickets for the 2026 World Cup are all set to go live from 6.45 pm IST on December 11.

The T20 World Cup will be played in India and Sri Lanka, and just like the last time 20 teams will be participating in this World Cup. With the new playing style and changed definition of T20 cricket all over the world, this year’s World Cup will be one of the most interesting ones.

Where to buy the tickets?

The phase 1 tickets of the World Cup will start from INR 100 (LRK 1000, USD 3.2) for some venues in India. The ICC also confirmed that the dates for phase two of the ticket sales will be announced soon. Tickets are available at tickets.cricketworldcup.com.

As per ESPN Cricinfo ICC CEO Sanjog Gupta said, “ Phase I of ticket sales is an important milestone in our journey towards delivering the most accessible and global ICC event ever staged, Our vision for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 is clear: every fan, regardless of background, geography or financial means, should have the chance to access an in-stadia experience of world-class marquee cricket.

He also added, “With tickets starting from just INR 100 and LKR1000, we are putting affordability at the centre of our strategy. This is about opening the gates wide and inviting millions to be part of a global celebration of cricket, not as spectators from afar, but as active participants in the energy, emotion and magic that only a stadium can offer.”

Groups of the World Cup 2026

Group A: India, Pakistan, USA, Netherlands, Namibia

Group B: Sri Lanka, Australia, Ireland, Zimbabwe, Oman

Group C: England, West Indies, Bangladesh, Nepal, Italy

Group D: New Zealand, South Africa, Afghanistan, Canada, UAE

From each group two teams will go forward to the super 8 group and the top two teams from each group will go to the semi-finals.
