Virat Kohli, the Indian legend, is all set to make his comeback for his state, Delhi, to play the Vijay Hazare Trophy starting from December 24. Rohan Jaitley, the DDCA president, confirmed to cricbuzz by saying, "Yes, that's right. He has given his availability." Though it is unlike that Virat Kohli will feature in all games for Delhi.
Delhi’s favourite boy has changed his decision to play in domestic cricket, confirming a clear change of mind in his post-match interview in Ranchi reflected something different from this decision.

In the post-match interview in Ranchi, Virat said, "I've never been a big believer in a lot of preparation, if that makes sense. All my cricket has been mental. As long as I feel mentally I can play the game, I work physically very hard every day of my life. It's got nothing to do with cricket anymore. It's the way I live.” This statement was shown as a jab at the BCCI, as the board asked players to play domestic cricket.
Kohli last featured for Delhi in the VHT in the 2009/10 tournament. After 15 years, Kohli is all set to wear the Delhi ODI jersey. Kohli has played a lot of international cricket in these years, and now, after 15 years, he is ready to have some game time with the new generation players.

Kohli has featured in 14 VHT games, in which 819 runs with an average of 68.25 with a strike rate of 106.08.
During his matches, he hit four centuries and three fifties. In the VHT 2025, Delhi is placed in Group D alongside Gujarat, Services, Saurashtra, Odisha, Railways, Haryana, and Andhra Pradesh this year. Their first match is against Andhra Pradesh in Alur.
After Virat, Rohit has also reportedly confirmed his availability for Mumbai in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025.
