From bat to ball, Bengal turn ruthless against helpless Services, tightening their grip on the contest

Bengal dominated Services with a huge first-innings total and incisive bowling, earning a decisive lead and forcing the follow-on

After having two devastating tournaments, Bengal came back strongly by putting a mammoth 519 runs in the first innings and also took the first innings lead as the Bengal bowlers brilliantly outplayed the Services batters in just 186 runs.

Bengal’s stalwart batter Sudip Chatterjee’s fantastic double hundred helped Bengal to create the mammoth target. In the first innings, Sudip got the support of Abhimanyu Easwaran and Shakir Habib Gandhi. Both of the Bengal batters missed the opportunity to get another List A hundred.

Easwaran who has been knocking on the Indian team's door for a long time now has missed his century as he got run out on 81 runs. Shakir Habib Gandhi who is replacing Abhishek Porel as wicket keeper in the team has missed his opportunity as the other batters failed to stay in the crease.

In the Services’ first innings, Bengal bowlers oversmart the Services batters and made the bowlers all out in just 186 runs.

Suraj Sindhu Jaiswal outplayed the Services batters

Suraj Sindhu Jaiswal and Akash Deep outplayed the Services batters. Suraj took four wickets while Akash Deep took three wickets. Mohammad Shami also took two wickets.

After the first innings, Bengal pushed Services into a follow-on, holding a commanding 333-run lead. Currently, Services are at 121 runs with three wickets down, setting the stage for an exciting comeback.
