The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment has partnered with the Physics Wallah Foundation to provide free online coaching for those preparing for large-scale competitive exams. The aim is to provide greater access to quality prep material for students from disadvantaged backgrounds across the country.
Free coaching for 5,000 aspirants every year
Every year, 5,000 aspirants will be provided with free online coaching. Selections will be made from among applicants belonging to the Scheduled Castes (SCs), Other Backward Classes (OBCs), and those who fall under the PM CARES for Children Scheme. The initiative includes aspirants from all over India, including Odisha.
This initiative is aimed at preparing for exams such as the Civil Services Examination, Staff Selection Commission (SSC) exams, and other banking recruitment exams.

What the coaching programme offers
Selected candidates will be provided with free access to a dedicated online learning platform, which will include live and recorded classes, test series, previous year question papers, and all study materials. They will also be provided with guidance, doubt-solving sessions, and counselling to cope with both study and exam-related stress.
The aim is to ensure that eligible students, irrespective of their financial background, get to learn with equal resources, just like those in paid coaching services.
Merit-based selection through online portal
According to the Press Information Bureau, the beneficiaries will be selected solely based on merit. This will be done through an online interface, which will increase the reach of the program.
