Harmanpreet's legacy set to continue
In April, Suzie Bates announced about her retirement from international cricket after the completion of the upcoming T20 World Cup. If Harmanpreet continues playing beyond the T20I tournament, she will be at the list leader, being at the top.
Bates will equal Harmanpreet’s record while she faces West Indies on Saturday, June 13.
In international cricket, across the men’s and women’s games, the 'God of Cricket' Sachin Tendulkar holds the record with 664 appearances being the most in international cricket. In Harmanpreet’s proximity, Australia’s Mark Waugh set this record with 372 appearances.
In terms of women’s ODIs, Harmanpreet has the seventh-most appearances, behind Australia’s Ellyse Perry with a record of 197 appearances in the T20Is among women.
