Before the high-voltage clash, Pakistan stirred controversy, from boycott drama to bold claims of defeating India. But once the match began, the narrative changed completely. Instead of challenging India, Pakistan suffered a heavy defeat as India extended their dominance in T20 World Cup encounters.

Out of nine meetings in the T20 World Cups, India has now defeated Pakistan eight times, taking the head-to-head record from 7-1 to 8-1.

India register commanding 61-run victory

Batting first, India posted 175 runs, powered by a 77-run knock from Ishan Kishan. In reply, Pakistan were bowled out for 114 runs in 18 overs. The Indian bowling attack, led by Jasprit Bumrah and Axar Patel, dismantled the opposition with discipline and control.

India secured a comprehensive 61-run victory in what turned out to be a one-sided contest.

Google India joins the trolling

Following Pakistan’s defeat, social media was flooded with reactions and memes. Even Google India joined the trend with a six-word post on X.

In its post, Google India wrote: "This match could’ve been an email." The remark suggested that the outcome was so predictable that there was hardly any need to play the full match. The post quickly went viral and sparked widespread discussion among cricket fans.

Axar Patel downplays rivalry

After the match, Axar Patel addressed the much-hyped India-Pakistan rivalry. He made it clear that the team does not view the contest differently from any other match.

"We just focus on our strengths. The hype is just outside talk. We think only about what we want to do out there," Axar said.

His statement indicates that the Indian team treated the fixture as a routine international match rather than a special rivalry encounter, reflecting a composed and process-driven approach.
