The young batter, who hails from Bihar, was set to appear for his CBSE board exams this year. However, with IPL commitments demanding full attention, he has decided to postpone his academic milestone.

Training with Rajasthan Royals

Vaibhav has already joined the pre-season camp of the Rajasthan Royals in Nagpur. The camp is part of the team’s preparations for the 2026 season, and the teenager is fully immersed in training sessions, match simulations, and team bonding activities.His coach confirmed that skipping the exams was a carefully considered decision, taken after discussions with family and mentors. For now, cricket remains the top priority.

Exams can wait

Vaibhav was registered under the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and had even received his admit card. However, the packed cricket calendar made it difficult to balance both commitments effectively. His family has clarified that education is still important, and he plans to sit for the board exams next year instead.
