While the seniors managed it, the juniors disappointed. In September, Suryakumar Yadav, Abhishek Sharma and others had defeated Pakistan in the Asia Cup final to win the trophy. But India had to face an embarrassing defeat in the Under-19 Asia Cup final. On Sunday, Vaibhav Suryavanshi, Ayush Mhatre and others lost to Pakistan in the final by a massive margin of 191 runs. However, attention was focused on another aspect even after the match. Asian Cricket Council (ACC) chief Mohsin Naqvi handed over the trophy to the Pakistan team. But once again, the Indian team boycotted him. India's cricketers did not accept the runners-up medals from Naqvi.

What happened?
After winning the Asia Cup, India's senior team cricketers also refused to accept the trophy and medals from Mohsin Naqvi. They took this decision due to the Pahalgam attack. A new controversy arose after this incident. Naqvi left with the trophy. That trophy has still not been handed over to India. This time, a similar picture was seen with the juniors as well. After Pakistan became champions, Naqvi handed over the trophy to them. But the Indian team did not even come on stage to receive the runners-up medals.
Since Mohsin Naqvi was present on stage at that time, the Indian cricketers took this path. They lined up in a section of the field beside the podium. Mubasher Usmani presented medals to Vaibhav, Ayush and others. He is one of the ICC's Associate Member Directors. The Indian cricketers accepted medals from this ICC official instead of Naqvi.

Not only that, the Indians did not shake hands with the Pakistani cricketers at the start and end of the match either. In this case too, they followed the BCCI's unannounced rule and the path shown by the senior team cricketers.
