Indian wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan made headlines with a match-winning 77 off 40 balls against Pakistan in the T20 World Cup 2026, guiding India to a dominant victory. While his performance drew widespread praise from fans, experts and family members, attention soon shifted off the field after his grandfather spoke publicly about his relationship with model Aditi Hundia.
Speculation about a possible wedding began circulating after his grandfather, Anurag Pandey, confirmed that Kishan is dating Aditi and expressed his approval of the relationship. However, Kishan’s mother, Suchitra Devi, dismissed talk of marriage and urged focus on cricket.
"It's not about marriage; it is time for him to play cricket. He's not old enough to talk about marriage. Grandpa is getting a little old. Old people are always a little excited. Something or the other keeps coming up on social media. He said all this based on what he saw on social media," she told IANS.
Earlier, Anurag Pandey had told ANI, "Whoever Ishan chooses to marry, I fully accept. We are ready to accept whoever Ishan Kishan wants to marry. Aditi is his girlfriend. She is a model. One should accept what makes children happy,” creating the buzz around the relationship and showing family support.

On-field focus remains clear
Despite the growing chatter about his personal life, Kishan kept the spotlight on cricket. After earning the Player-of-the-Match award for his explosive innings against Pakistan, he credited the entire team and Indian fans for the achievement.
He said he approached the high-pressure clash like any other game, focusing on watching the ball closely and adjusting to the pitch and target. He added that he never felt panic, thanked his teammates for their confidence, and stressed that his work is not finished as he looks ahead to the next match.
Kishan’s strong T20 form continued as he registered his second successive World Cup half-century and played a key role in India’s 61-run win in Colombo. Apart from his batting, he also impressed behind the stumps, including a sharp stumping to dismiss a dangerous Usman Khan during Pakistan’s chase.
