Sahibzada Farhan etched his name into Pakistan’s T20 World Cup history with a superb century against Namibia in the ICC T20 World Cup 2026 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. The opener brought up his maiden T20I hundred in just 57 balls during the Group A encounter, becoming only the second Pakistan batter to score a century in the tournament.
Sahibzada Farhan's ton
Farhan adopted a measured approach early on, especially after Pakistan’s struggles in their previous game against India. He settled at the crease before shifting gears after the tenth over, launching a calculated assault on the Namibian attack. He eventually remained unbeaten on 100 off 58 balls, striking eleven fours and four sixes in a commanding display.

Pakistan scored 47 runs in the power play but lost Saim Ayub for 14 off 12 balls. Looking to bounce back from their heavy defeat to India, the team reshuffled the lineup by bringing in Khawaja Nafay in the middle order, while Shaheen Shah Afridi was left out of the XI.
The innings gained momentum in the ninth over when captain Salman Ali Agha stepped down the pitch to Willem Myburgh and cleared long-on for a six. Farhan followed suit, attacking Myburgh with consecutive sixes, including a slog-swept googly over deep mid-wicket. Those big hits lifted Pakistan’s run rate significantly.

Agha also struck Bernard Scholtz for a straight six before being caught by Gerhard Erasmus off Brassell in the next over.
Nafay began positively with a boundary through backward point but was later caught and bowled by Erasmus. Farhan continued to anchor the innings with a range of strokes, dominating the Namibian bowlers. Shadab Khan capped off the innings with two sixes off Erasmus in the final over, ensuring Pakistan finished strongly.
