The Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy had a new champion in its 19th edition, as Ishan Kishan led Jharkhand to victory in the finals against Haryana. Previously, Jharkhand won the Vijay Hazare Trophy in 2011, and now, for the first time, they became the nation's best T20 team with the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. A completely dominant team performance, Ishan Kishan’s blistering knocks, Young prodigy Kumar Kushagra’s good innings and Anukul Roy’s man of the series performance helped Jharkhand to dominate the trophy.

Ishan Kishan, who captained the India U-19 side in 2026, did not get many chances to prove himself in the international field. He was in the squad for India’s 2023 World Cup campaign. He ended the season as the highest run scorer. Also, left-arm pacer Sushant Mishra, who recently secured an IPL contract from the Rajasthan Royals, took 22 wickets and led the chart of highest wicket-takers.

Summary of the final

Jharkhand captain Ishan Kishan stepped up in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy final against Haryana.
