Jofra Archer has often been called Nostradamus of Cricket because of his strangely accurate old tweet predictions, but on Sunday, December 7, the spotlight turned back on him in an unexpected way. On the final day of the second Ashes Test in Brisbane, Archer found himself living out something he had unknowingly posted years ago, as Steve Smith hammered a rapid 23* off just nine balls while chasing 65 runs.
Archer bowled with serious pace, giving everything, even with very few runs to defend. But Smith, with such a small target, had the freedom to attack, and he made full use of it.

Fans on X (formerly Twitter), familiar with the phrase “there’s always a tweet,” were stunned to discover that Archer had once tweeted “Steve Smith 23 from 9” back on March 20, 2013. With Smith not even playing a match on that date, users joked about which game Archer meant at the time.
Smith didn’t hold back during the battle either. Proud that Archer has never dismissed him in Tests, the Australian captain sledged the pacer with, “Bowl fast when there's nothing going on, champion.”
Archer kept steaming in, trying to bounce Smith out, but with only 60-odd to get, Smith kept swinging freely and ended up scoring exactly what the old tweet had said—down to the run and ball.
Netizens went crazy
People on the Internet went crazy to see how the tables have turned. One user wrote, "man knows future but still chose to chirp."
Another wrote, "Damn, this guy really knows the future." Another X user wrote, "No way blud predicted his own bashing."

Australia’s win gave them a 2-0 lead in the Ashes, while England now face the challenge of regrouping both on and off the field. Ben Stokes and Will Jacks did offer resistance for part of Day 4, but with six wickets already down, the visitors couldn’t stop the inevitable.
