Lucknow Super Giants may not be having the perfect IPL 2026 campaign, but the franchise could still play a major role in shaping India’s future pace attack. Former India bowling coach Bharat Arun believes several young pacers in the LSG setup have the potential to represent the national team in the coming years.
Currently serving as Lucknow’s bowling coach, Arun praised the franchise’s pool of fast bowlers and said the team possesses the kind of talent India will benefit from in the future.
Bharat Arun backs LSG pacers for India
Arun specifically mentioned Prince Yadav, Mohsin Khan and Mayank Yadav as bowlers with immense promise. According to him, each of them offers something different."See, one reason I joined Lucknow Super Giants is due to the fact that they were really exciting bowlers. If you look at Prince, Mohsin [Khan], [Mohammed] Shami is doing well, and even now, Mayank Yadav bowled pretty well in the last game. Okay, he is a little short of match practice, I would say, but he is getting there. And also, we have a few other exciting prospects on hand."
Talking to ESPN Cricinfo dugout, he also added." So, overall, if you look at it, if you ask me a question, can they play for India? Yes, they have it in them to play [for India]. It's [about how well they [India's team management] bring together the talent and getting the best out of it is a challenge for them."

He also hinted that the squad contains several more exciting pace prospects apart from the already known names.
Prince Yadav’s dream ball impresses everyone
Prince Yadav recently caught attention during Lucknow’s IPL clash against Royal Challengers Bengaluru after dismissing Virat Kohli with a sensational delivery. The ball moved sharply back in after pitching and crashed into Kohli’s stumps, leaving the batter completely surprised. Speaking about the wicket, Arun described it as a “dream ball” and said such deliveries are rare even for top bowlers. He further revealed that Kohli himself was curious about how Prince managed to produce that delivery.
