Chasing the target of 174 runs against the UAE, New Zealand's openers stood tall by achieving it in just 15.2 overs without losing a wicket. Tim Seifert and Finn Allen alone carried forward the innings, forming a partnership of 175 runs. Batting first, the UAE batters played steadily and made 173 runs, losing six wickets in 20 overs.
New Zealand batters put their bowling in question, and UAE bowlers failed to find an answer for them. Tim Seifert showed his batting glimpse in the India series, while Finn Allen came with a very good form. He was the highest run getter of the BBL.

Batting first, UAE batters made the New Zealand bowlers look off colour today. The match was played on a double-paced track in Chennai. Among the UAE batters, Waseem and Alishan Sharafu stood tall. Captain Waseem hammered 66 runs in just 45 balls while Alishan Sharafu scored 55 runs.
Waseem and Sharafu had a 107-run partnership between them. In the end, a solid 40-run partnership between Mayank Kumar and Waseem of just 19 balls helped Arab to put a very good total on the board.
