India take on New Zealand in a must-win third ODI, with form, combinations, and future selection clarity at stake

The stage is all set for the series decider of the New Zealand tour of India, which is going to take place on a pleasant winter afternoon at Indore, where the crowds will enjoy a wave of excitement with a tense match in the field. With the series at stake, the Indian team management will try to find some good performances as it is going to India’s last ODI before July, where RO-KO and company will visit England to play in the testing soils. Indian management will try to emphasise the bowling to address the efficiency in the middle overs.

On Sunday at noon, the Indian team won the toss and chose to bowl first to put New Zealand on a challenge in the series decider. The Indian team has brought in Arshdeep Singh in place of Prasidh Krishna. As it is the last ODI before July, India will look forward to ending on a high note.

What’s at stake for the Indian team in the series decider?

The series decider against New Zealand is expected to be a tough contest in which the management will expect a big innings from both of the openers, especially from Rohit Sharma, who remained unable to convert the good start in this series. From fans to the management, everyone will look forward to watching the hitman show.

Along with that, Nitish Kumar Reddy’s role in this match will be interesting to see. The Andhra all-rounder needs to go big; this could be his last chance for him in ODIs before the 2027 World Cup, as when Hardik makes his comeback in the side, his place in the team will become uncertain.

Arshdeep Singh is making his comeback in the ODI jersey today, and he will try to give a good performance to get a longer run in the ODIs.
