Batting first, Mumbai laid a strong foundation through a fluent partnership between Nat Sciver-Brunt and captain Harmanpreet Kaur. Sciver-Brunt provided early momentum with controlled aggression, while Harmanpreet anchored the innings and accelerated decisively in the final overs, guiding MI to a formidable total just under 200.

In reply, the Delhi Capitals struggled to keep pace with the required run rate after losing early wickets.
