Brisbane Heat secured a convincing seven-wicket win over Sydney Thunder in the 29th match of the Big Bash League 2025-26, largely thanks to a commanding innings from captain Usman Khawaja. Returning to BBL action in fine form, Khawaja scored a fluent 78 off 48 balls, anchoring the chase with controlled strokeplay and punishing loose deliveries.

The innings not only set the platform for victory but also showcased Khawaja’s leadership and batting class.
