FC Goa and Mohun Bagan Super Giant played out a disappointing 1-1 draw at Fatorda Stadium in a match that never truly came alive. Both teams were cautious from the beginning, and the game lacked attacking sharpness for most of the 90 minutes. Mohun Bagan struggled to build momentum in attack despite efforts from Liston Colaco, Robson Robinho and Jamie Maclaren. Their passing lacked fluency, and most moves broke down before creating real danger.

Goa were also careful with their approach, focusing more on defensive stability and counter-attacks. As heavy rain began to affect the pitch, the quality of football dropped further, making it difficult for both teams to control possession and create chances.
Goals in the second half
The game improved after the break. Mohun Bagan took the lead in the 55th minute after Sandesh Jhingan failed to control the ball properly. Jamie Maclaren reacted quickly and calmly to put the visitors ahead.
However, Goa responded in the 67th minute. Ronney Wilson sent in a cross from the right side that unexpectedly went straight into the net, leaving goalkeeper Vishal Kaith with no chance.
Cummings misses a crucial chance
Mohun Bagan had a golden opportunity to win the match soon after. Abdul Samad found Jason Cummings unmarked inside the box, but the striker sent his shot over the crossbar from close range. Both teams pushed for a late winner, but poor finishing and tiredness ensured the match ended 1-1.
