Divija Bhasin, a counselling psychologist and an Instagram influencer, is in the limelight since one of her viral videos created a debate on all social media platforms; netizens termed it the "Ra** Revolution". She often talks about women-related issues in her country, India, but this time she did a Reel explaining how the word "R***" that is usually used as a slur for women doesn't affect her.
In the video that received over 5.7 million views, Bhasin says, "Men called me that word every single day in my comment section," she says in the video. "I am a proud Ra**. Ra** supremacy." She took to social media and called upon women to own the word, to make it a part of their identity. Many, including minors, made the hashtag #ProudR*i a part of their bios. Her video on YouTube received 127K views in just three days.

Who is Divija Bhasin?
Divija Bhasin has a B.A. in Psychology with honours, M.Sc. in Applied Clinical Psychology, and an MA in Clinical Psychology. She uses her academic knowledge to develop content on mental health, taboo social issues and emotional well-being, particularly for the young generation.
Recognition and achievements
Amongst several recognitions, Bhasin has received multiple awards and honors for her work. She was chosen as one of 25 mental health creators for the Harvard Mental Health Summit in Boston, ranked #25 on Forbes' Top 100 Digital Stars, and received awards from Times, Elle Beauty Awards, and Cosmopolitan for her works on Mental Wellness.

FIR Filed Against Her
The campaign has attracted some legal scrutiny, nevertheless. An X user and trader, Anubhav Gupta, filed a formal complaint with the UP police against Bhasin. Gupta posted on X writing, “I have filed formal complaint for an FIR to UP Police against @DivijaBhasin for influencing minors to to use inappropriate slurs and to provoke them to indulge in such profession which are offense under POCSO and other various sections of the Indian laws.”
