Good news for the passengers of Kolkata Metro's Joka-Majerhat Purple Line. Metro service will now be available on Saturdays as well on this line. This service will start from November 22. From now on, every Saturday, 20 metro trains each will run on the up and down lines between Joka and Majerhat. Metro will run every 21 minutes.

Metro services are also being increased for the Green Line. Kolkata Metro has announced through a notification that 101 pairs of metro trains will run on the up and down lines of the Green Line this Saturday. Earlier, 186 metro trains used to run. Additional metro service will start from November 22.
