In a shocking accident, a bike collided with a government bus near Bishwabhaba Sarani in New Town on Tuesday morning, around 10:30 am. Police from the Eco Park station immediately stopped the bus.
Eyewitnesses said that a bike was coming from the direction of City Centre 2 toward Bishwabhaba Sarani. A young man was riding the bike, and a young woman was sitting behind him. At the same time, a government bus was travelling from Barasat toward Karunamoyee.

The collision occurred when the bus was moving from Bishwabhaba Sarani towards Karunamoyee, and the bike was entering the road at Bishwabhaba Sarani. The impact was so strong that the young woman sitting at the back of the bike lost her arm at the elbow. The gory scene sent shockwaves among onlookers.
She is currently fighting for her life at a private hospital.
