To date, no person has been identified as a suspect and police have indicated they are optimistic about the safe return of the 84-year-old woman.

Abductor known to Nancy Guthrie?

Meanwhile, in a new development in the case, several officers not involved in the search, have speculated that the alleged abductor is allegedly known to Nancy Guthrie.

Over the weekend, in a heartfelt video along with her brother Camron and sister Annie, Savannah expressed their willingness to pay the ransom amount.

"We received your message and we understand," Savannah said in the video message on social media. "We beg you now to return our mother to us so we can celebrate with her. This is the only way we will have peace. This is very valuable to us and we will pay."

Following Nancy's disappearance, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos stated that authorities had determined that Nancy was either kidnapped or abducted, or otherwise taken away without consent. One reason for authorities to suspect foul play was due to Nancy's physical limitations, which prevented her from being able to walk around on her own, making it unlikely that she simply wandered off on her own.

In a post on X, the Pima County Sheriff's Department said, "The Nancy Guthrie investigation is ongoing. Follow-up continues at multiple locations. No suspects, persons of interest, or vehicles have been identified. No scheduled press briefings. If any significant developments occur in the case, a press conference will be called."
