Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar 2 continues its strong box office journey, even as it begins to slow down in its fourth week. The action-spy film performed extremely well in theatres during its first three weeks.

Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film created history by becoming the first Bollywood film to cross the ₹1000 crore mark in India. It performed steadily and stayed ahead of many other big releases.

But with new films releasing, its pace has slowed down a bit. Despite this, its overall collections remain impressive.

Dhurandhar 2 box office update

According to the latest Sacnilk report, Dhurandhar The Revenge collected ₹6.70 crore on its 23rd day. This marks the lowest single-day collection for the film so far. The drop is more noticeable because it happened on a Friday, which is usually a strong day. This slowdown is mainly due to new films releasing in theaters.

New releases affect collections

The film faced competition from new releases like Dacoit, starring Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur. Another film, Love Insurance Kompany (LIK) with Pradeep Ranganathan, also added to the competition. These new releases attracted audiences and affected Dhurandhar 2’s steady box office run.

Week-wise performance and total collection

Dhurandhar 2 earned ₹674.17 crore in week one, ₹263.65 crore in week two, and ₹110.60 crore in week three. After 23 days, its total gross is ₹1,262.06 crore and net collection is ₹1,055.12 crore, showing it is a huge success.

Details about Dhurandhar 2

Released on March 19 with previews on March 18, Dhurandhar 2 continues its intense spy story. The first film showed Ranveer Singh as an Indian spy entering gangs in Lyari to stop a terror network.

It was set around real events like the Kandahar hijack, the 2001 Parliament attack, and the 26/11 Mumbai attacks. The sequel shows his journey to becoming Hamza Ali Mazari and his rise in the underworld while continuing his mission.

The film also has a face-off between Arjun Rampal and Ranveer Singh, with roles by R Madhavan, Rakesh Bedi, Sara Arjun, Danish Pandor, and Sanjay Dutt. Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga praised the film and rejected claims of it being propaganda. He also warned Aditya and Ranveer to stay safe from negative attention or “evil eye.”

Dhurandhar 2 is slowing down now, but its box office run still remains historic. Crossing ₹1000 crore makes it one of the biggest hits in the history of box office.

All credit goes to good reviews and star power, the film is likely to keep earning even with more competition in theatres.
