Veteran playback singer Asha Bhosle has been admitted to Breach Candy Hospital after suffering a cardiac arrest on Saturday, April 11. The 92-year-old singer is currently undergoing treatment, according to hospital authorities and her family. As per a report by India Today, Dr Pratit Samdani said that Bhosle suffered a cardiac arrest and was admitted to the hospital’s Emergency Medical Services unit. She is presently under medical supervision, and treatment is ongoing.
Granddaughter requests privacy in official statement
Her granddaughter, Zanai Bhosle, shared an update through a post on X, requesting privacy for the family during this time. She wrote, "My grandmother, Asha Bhosle, due to extreme exhaustion and suffering a chest infection, has been admitted to the hospital, and we request you to value our privacy. Treatment is ongoing, and hopefully everything will be well, and we shall update you positively (sic)."

Asha Bhosle’s illustrious career spans decades, marked by remarkable versatility across genres.
