As the year-end deadline approaches, the Income Tax Department has once again reminded PAN card holders to complete the mandatory PAN–Aadhaar linking. If the two documents are not linked by December 31, 2025, the PAN will become inoperative, affecting several financial and tax-related activities.
Unlinked PAN cards will not be accepted for filing income tax returns or for transactions where PAN details are required.
To avoid last-minute issues, all taxpayers are being asked by the government to check their linking status and act in time.
