Despite a sudden decline, the gold and silver prices have pulled themselves up and are once again going forward in a continuous upward trend that began last year. Till the end of January this year, the precious metal prices rose, breaking all records. However, at the beginning of February, prices of the two precious metals declined significantly from their peak levels. Compared to Tuesday, gold and silver prices changed only marginally on Wednesday.

In Kolkata’s market on Wednesday, the price of 24-carat pure gold per 10 grams increased by ₹750. The price of 22-carat gold jewellery per 10 grams decreased by ₹750. The price per kilogram of silver decreased by ₹1,950.
