Dhurandhar 2 has become a major box office hit, entering the list of India’s highest-grossing films. The Ranveer Singh starrer has gained strong global attention and surpassed Pushpa 2 in worldwide earnings marking a new industry milestone today.
Dhurandhar 2 has collected around ₹1750 crore worldwide, including strong domestic and overseas revenue. It stands second in India’s domestic earnings list and continues to perform well in international markets across regions making it a huge commercial success. It has now surpassed Pushpa 2 and is closing in on Baahubali 2’s record.
However, Dangal remains far ahead as the highest-grossing Indian film of all time making it a challenging target for future earnings in global box office race analysis.

Box office milestone and global ranking
According to Hindustan Times report, Dhurandhar 2 has entered the top three highest-grossing Indian films worldwide. On Saturday, Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar: The Revenge reached an important milestone by earning ₹1750 crore worldwide. It surpassed Pushpa 2 quickly, driven by strong audience response and steady box office performance across India and overseas markets.
Has Dhurandhar 2 beaten Pushpa 2?
As per Hindustan Times report, on Sunday, April 19, Dhurandhar 2 had earned ₹1750 crore worldwide. Out of this, ₹1111 crore came from India, making it the second-highest domestic earning for an Indian film. It also made about $46 million from overseas markets, placing it just outside the top 10 highest-grossing Indian films internationally.
With this total, Dhurandhar 2 has overtaken Pushpa 2, which earned ₹1742 crore worldwide in 2024. Pushpa 2 earned most of its money in India with ₹1234 crore, while its overseas collection was lower at $32 million.
Baahubali 2 challenge
Dhurandhar 2 is now aiming for SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2, which is at number two with a worldwide total of ₹1788 crore as per HT reports. On Saturday, Dhurandhar 2 earned ₹6.70 crore globally and is expected to earn around ₹7 crore more on Sunday. This will take its total to about ₹1755 crore, which is just ₹33 crore less than Baahubali 2.
The film may see a big drop in earnings on Monday, but it still has a chance to catch up in the coming weeks. The release of Bhooth Bangla has slightly affected its collection, but since there are no big films releasing soon, it may continue to perform steadily. It is also not expected to come on OTT anytime soon, so it will stay in theatres for a longer time.
Future box office performance and what to expect
As per Hindustan Times report, Dhurandhar 2 is expected to fall short of Dangal’s all-time record of ₹2070 crore. In fact, it may not even reach ₹1800 crore or cross ₹2000 crore. One reason is that the film was not released in the Gulf countries, which reduced its earnings by about $12–15 million (around ₹110–140 crore). If it had released there, it could have come much closer to ₹2000 crore.
It is also important to note that most of Dangal’s huge earnings came from China, where it became one of the biggest international hits ever. At the time of its release, Dangal was already the highest-grossing Indian film even before its China collections, with a worldwide total of ₹716 crore.

Dangal is still far ahead and is not likely to be beaten anytime soon. Its final position will depend on how audiences respond in the future and what new films release. Dhurandhar 2 has done very well at the box office and is one of the biggest successes in recent Indian cinema. It has attracted viewers from many regions and is still running strongly despite competition.
Dangal is still the biggest box office record in Indian cinema. Dhurandhar 2 has also become a major hit and will be remembered as one of the top successful films in Indian film history.
