Veteran megastar of Bollywood, Amitabh Bachchan, reassured fans about his well-being after reports emerged that he was discharged from a private hospital in Mumbai following a routine check-up. News of his hospital visit had sparked concern among admirers, prompting the 83-year-old star to share a heartfelt blog post filled with poetry, reflections, and gratitude for his supporters.

Although Amitabh Bachchan did not directly comment on the health concerns circulating online, his first post after returning home came in the form of a poem. In the dateline of the post, he wrote, "Mangal bhavan amangal haari", a line from the Ramayanâs Sundar Kand.
He further wrote, "Cheel jab howe shant to bhaiya, tote bolan suru karen ir bir fatte, kahan, chal hamau, pilave suru karen!!!! bajre di roti kha di, fu padiyon da, saag re munh mein dalan lagai jaise, bolan lage kaag re!" before signing off with, "Love, prayers and more."

The subtle mention of âEer Bir Phatteâ in his poem also drew attention from longtime fans, as it references the title track from his 1996 indie-pop studio album Aby Baby. The songâs eccentric lyrics were written by his father, legendary poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan.

Just days before the hospitalisation reports surfaced, the megastar had shared pictures from his regular Sunday interaction with fans gathered outside his Mumbai residence, Jalsa. Reflecting on the experience in his blog, he wrote, "I go in from the house to meet the wellwishers.. staff security and police tell me its ready to come .. and as I walk apprehension...will they be there...will they greet me...or booo? And then I hear the cheers, and the adrenaline activates and the body and limbs move in cohesion."
He added, "Almost as an intrusion...a loving intrusion...and the joy of seeing so much joy in others...the constants, the elderly, the little kids who do not know what the heck is going on...but cute they are. Ahhhh...such a blessing...the Almighty be praised."

In another blog entry, he shared, "No sleep process takes over at this hour of the morning from the night before. Why? Because work is more important than sleep... medical says it's not right... must get 7 hrs minimum... the body grows, develops and repairs in the sleep hours... so what does one do?"
The actor further reflected on the soothing effect of music, writing, "It is the chord that ties the soul to the Almighty... that invisible thread unseen, yet felt despite its absence... I feel... so it strums the strings within..."
Bollywoodâs Big B was last seen in the 2024 films âVettaiyanâ alongside Rajinikanth and âKalki 2898 ADâ directed by Nag Ashwin, in which he portrayed Ashwatthama. He is expected to reprise the role in the sequel, which is currently being filmed in Hyderabad.
