Speculation around Hardik Pandya’s personal life intensified after his girlfriend Mahieka Sharma was seen wearing a diamond ring which was a detail that social media quickly turned into a full-blown “secret engagement” theory.
Mahieka, 24, and Hardik, 32, have been dating for several months and were first publicly spotted together on October 10, when they arrived at the Mumbai airport as a couple.

As engagement chatter surged online, Mahieka addressed it head-on through her Instagram stories.

In a playful response, she wrote:
“Me watching the internet decide I'm engaged when I just wear nice jewellery every day.”
She followed it with another tongue-in-cheek post to pre-empt further speculation, writing:
“Wyd if I pull up in this to fight the pregnancy rumours,” alongside a photo of a man riding a toy car.
While Hardik Pandya has not commented publicly, the narrative gained traction partly because of a puja ceremony the couple attended recently.
However, as reported by TOI, the priest who conducted the ritual clarified that it was a simple Mangalwar puja for well-being and not an engagement ceremony, despite the viral assumptions.
Their relationship so far and the context behind the chatter
Before his relationship with Mahieka, Hardik was earlier linked to singer Jasmin Walia, known for “Bom Diggy”, though neither ever confirmed it.
The couple’s age difference with Hardik born in 1993 and Mahieka in 2001, also became a point of online curiosity. Hardik’s personal life has been under scrutiny since his separation from Natasa Stankovic, to whom he was married in 2020.
According to Times of India, the duo announced their split formally in July last year after months of speculation. They continue to co-parent their son Agastya, maintaining a stable arrangement post-separation.

For now, the engagement speculation is just a speculation. Mahieka’s posts appear intended to shut down the rumours without taking them too seriously, while Hardik has chosen to stay silent.
