Priyanka Chopra joins presenters lineup for Oscars 2026 alongside Robert Downey Jr, Anne Hathaway, Gwyneth Paltrow

Priyanka Chopra is set to take the Oscars stage once again as a presenter at the 2026 Academy Awards, joining a star-studded lineup.

Actor Priyanka Chopra Jonas is set to return to the stage of the Academy Awards as one of the presenters at the 98th edition of the ceremony. The announcement was made by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences on Thursday, adding her to the growing list of international stars who will present awards this year.

She will share presenting duties with several Hollywood actors, including Robert Downey Jr., Anne Hathaway and Gwyneth Paltrow.

Priyanka shares Oscars announcement

Priyanka acknowledged the announcement on Instagram, sharing a post about the upcoming ceremony with the caption “The 2026 Academy Awards.”

This will not be her first appearance as an Oscars presenter. The actor had earlier presented an award during the 88th Academy Awards in 2016. Over the years, she has also been part of other major global award ceremonies as a presenter, including the Golden Globe Awards and the Primetime Emmy Awards.

Among Indian actors, Deepika Padukone also presented at the Oscars in 2023, the same year that the song Naatu Naatu from RRR won the award for Best Original Song.

List of presenters for the 98th Oscars

The Academy has confirmed several presenters for this year’s ceremony. Apart from Priyanka and the newly announced names, the list includes Adrien Brody, Javier Bardem, Kieran Culkin, Chris Evans, Demi Moore, Kumail Nanjiani, Maya Rudolph and Zoe Saldaña, among others.

The 98th Oscars ceremony is scheduled to take place on March 15, 2026, at the Dolby Theatre.

Films competing for major awards

This year’s nominations are led by Sinners, directed by Ryan Coogler. The film has received 16 nominations, the highest number in the history of the Academy Awards.

It surpasses the previous record of 14 nominations held by films such as All About Eve, Titanic and La La Land.

Other films competing for multiple wins include Hamnet, Sentimental Value, One Battle After Another and Frankenstein.

Priyanka Chopra’s upcoming projects

Priyanka was recently seen in the action thriller The Bluff, which is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video.

She will next appear in Varanasi, directed by S. S. Rajamouli. The film also stars Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran. Priyanka will play the character Mandakini in the film, which is scheduled for release on April 7, 2027 and will mark her debut in Telugu cinema.

She also has the second season of the series Citadel in the pipeline.
