Sudipa Mukhopadhyay never wants her son to just bury his face in books and study. Rather, she wants to keep little Adidev busy in other areas alongside his studies. Adi is a Class Two student at St. James School. Sudipa has mentioned that she enrolled Adi in this school because it gives importance to sports alongside studies.

Sudipa's family lives in Ballygunge Place, where you won't find a field even if you search with binoculars. So the school ground is their only hope for sports and running around. She has also enrolled her son in swimming. Though Adi initially makes fuss about going swimming, he now apparently prefers staying in the water. However, all this is being done to keep the boy fit. But this time, she has taken the first step toward fulfilling her dream for her son. Sudipa enrolled Adi in former cricketer Sharadindu Mukhopadhyay's cricket coaching academy.

Whose dream is it actually for Adidev to become a cricketer – Adi's or his mother Sudipa's?

According to Sudipa, "Adi is a crazy fan of Virat Kohli. I've taken him to watch matches at Eden several times. He likes watching cricket. But he has never really played cricket himself. He also had objections about swimming. But after some time, he developed a liking for swimming. Whether the same will happen with cricket, I'll understand when the time comes."

Both Sudipa and her husband Agnidev Chattopadhyay are from the entertainment world. Then why do they want to make their son a sportsperson?

Sudipa says, "Everyone in my father's family are sports-crazy people. I myself love sports very much. I used to play cricket and football with my brothers. But there was no opportunity to join an academy to learn sports. I want to give that opportunity to Adi. Now he will decide the rest himself. I don't want to impose my wishes on him. Let him play for some days, let me see how he feels about it. Then we can think about the rest."
