Fresh findings in the investigation into the death of Pune businessman Ketan Vishal Agarwal have suggested that the alleged murder was carefully planned over several months. Police claim that Agarwal's fiancée, Siya Goyal, and her boyfriend, Chetan Choudhary, searched the internet for ways to kill a person before allegedly pushing him off Lohagad Fort.
According to investigators, the two remained in constant contact in the months leading up to the incident. A review of call records showed they spoke 2,004 times between January 1 and June 18, spending nearly 238 hours on phone calls.
"The duo (Goyal and Chaudhary) exchanged 2,004 phone calls and spent around 238 hours speaking to each other during the last six months. Some of the calls lasted for more than 2 to 3 hours," Pune (Rural) Superintendent of Police Sandip Singh Gill said while referring to the analysis of call records and CCTV footage.

Cafe meeting before reaching Lohagad Fort
Police also said the pair allegedly met at a cafe on the day of the incident before travelling to Lohagad Fort with Ketan Agarwal.
"The probe has also revealed that on the day of the incident, Goyal and Chaudhary allegedly met at a cafe before heading to Lohagad Fort and discussed the plan to eliminate Agarwal," Gill added.
Investigating officer Dinesh Tayade, senior police inspector at Lonavla Rural Police Station, said phone conversations and messages between the two continued even after Agarwal's death.
Engagement fixed, wedding planned for November
Ketan Agarwal, 25, served as a director in his family's company, Success Group, one of Maharashtra's leading warehouse developers. He got engaged to 20-year-old Siya Goyal in February through a family arrangement, and the wedding was scheduled for November in Udaipur.
Police believe Goyal was in a relationship with 22-year-old Chetan Choudhary but did not reveal it because of family and social pressure. "Considering societal pressure and her family's image, she did not have the option to elope with Chetan," an officer said.
Both Goyal and Choudhary have been arrested and booked under Sections 103 and 61(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita on charges of murder and criminal conspiracy.
