Missing Sukhoi-30 from Assam’s Jorhat crashes in Karbi Anglong

An Indian Air Force Sukhoi-30 MKI fighter aircraft that went missing shortly after taking off from Assam’s Jorhat on Thursday evening has crashed in the Karbi Anglong area, the IAF confirmed. The aircraft was on a training mission and reportedly went down about 60 kilometres away from Jorhat. US grants India 30-day waiver to continue Russian oil imports amid Iran war concerns

United States has granted India a 30-day temporary waiver allowing its refineries to continue buying Russian oil, amid concerns that the ongoing conflict involving Iran, the US and Israel could push global energy prices higher. US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said the exemption would not provide significant financial gains to Russia, as it only covers oil shipments already stranded at sea. According to Bloomberg, around 9.5 million barrels of Russian crude were sitting in Asian waters last week.
