On Monday evening, an air ambulance crashed in Jharkhand's Chatra district. The crash has left one person dead. The air ambulance was operating from Ranchi to Delhi, India Today reported.
The air ambulance lost contact with Air Traffic Control (ATC) at 7:34 PM, and went down in a forested area of Chatra.

One person has reportedly died in the crash. The deceased has been identified as Sanjay Kumar, aged 41. Kumar was a burn patient who was being transported to Delhi on the medical evacuation flight.
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has informed in a statement that the air ambulance had taken off from Ranchi at 7:11 PM. The flight was travelling towards Delhi, and it was a medical evacuation service and had seven people on board.
Who was on board?
Those on board included the patient, one doctor, one paramedic, two attendants, one pilot-in-command (PIC), and one co-pilot. The flight was scheduled to land in Delhi at 10 PM, as per India Today.
The DGCA further informed that the aircraft lost radar contact with Kolkata at 7:34 PM, after establishing contact before that. The aircraft was approximately 100 nautical miles south-east of Varanasi.
The crash site is already being searched by the district administration's search and rescue team. One team from the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) is being sent to probe into the crash.
