Several schools in Delhi received bomb threats on Monday morning, leading to panic and precautionary evacuations. According to the fire department, officials got two separate calls warning about possible explosives on school campuses.
The first call came around 8.50 am about the Army Public School in Dhaula Kuan. Shortly after, at about 9.36 am, another threat was reported at Air Force Bal Bharati School on Lodhi Road.

Police, fire department teams, bomb detection squads and sniffer dog units rushed to both schools. As a safety measure, students, teachers and staff were evacuated. Officials conducted detailed anti-sabotage checks, searching classrooms, offices, playgrounds, and nearby areas to ensure there were no suspicious objects or explosive devices.

Rising pattern of threats
This is not the first such incident in the national capital. Last Thursday, three schools in Dwarka, Najafgarh and Paschim Vihar also received bomb threats, leading to evacuations and thorough searches. Nearly a week before that, several schools had received threatening emails claiming that explosions would occur at 1.11 pm on a Monday, with one message even alleging that Parliament would be targeted on February 13.
Similar emails were reported last month as well, raising concerns over repeated hoax threats.
