Shilpa Shetty, who co-founded Bengaluru restaurant Bastion, has been booked by the police for allegedly hosting late-night parties beyond permitted hours. According to a PTI report, the action followed an inspection conducted on December 11 at the high-end restaurant located on St Marks Road.
Police officials stated that the establishment was found operating past the legally allowed closing time. Based on this, a case was registered at Cubbon Park police station under relevant sections of the Karnataka Police Act against the restaurant’s manager and staff for violating local rules.

A senior police officer confirmed that the case was filed after officials observed the alleged violation during the inspection. The issue gained wider attention after a CCTV video from inside the restaurant went viral on social media. The footage reportedly showed an incident around 1.30 am, where two groups of patrons were seen engaging in a heated verbal argument and brief heckling. Police clarified that there was no report of any serious physical violence.

Responding to the allegations, Shilpa Shetty issued a clarification through her Instagram story. She denied the claims and said the allegations were being wrongly portrayed as criminal without proper legal grounds.“We categorically deny the baseless and motivated allegations being circulated. The issues sought to be raised are being given a criminal colour without any lawful basis.”
She further clarified that legal remedies are already underway, “A Quashing Petition has already been filed before the Hon’ble High Court and is pending adjudication.”
Shetty further said that the restaurant has fully cooperated with the investigation and expressed confidence in the legal process. She appealed to the media to avoid speculation, stating that the matter is currently before the court.
