Alongside Koreans, the Japanese are also renowned for their skin and hair care practices. Japan has a tradition of hair care using completely natural and herbal ingredients. Women in that country focus more on scalp care than hair itself. The Japanese take care of their hair in several phases or steps. Do you know why their hair care differs from that of Indians?

Pre-wash oiling:

Very simple. Oil must be applied before shampooing. Camellia oil has been used in Japan for years. Camellia oil is available here too, but it's a bit expensive. Instead, you can choose any very light, low-density oil. It's good to massage for ten minutes before shampooing.

Gentle cleansing:

The Japanese place tremendous emphasis on scalp cleansing. The scalp must be thoroughly cleaned with a mild cleanser so that excess oil and dirt cannot accumulate on the scalp. For washing hair, it's better to use sulfate-free shampoo and warm water.

Scalp massage:

Good blood circulation in the scalp is necessary for healthy hair. It's good if you can manage with your own hands. Otherwise, you can buy a scalp massager. You can massage wet hair for two minutes. Massage the entire scalp in circular motions.

Conditioning:

Conditioner must be used to maintain hair hydration. Apply conditioner and leave it for five minutes. Then rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water and wash the hair well. It particularly helps maintain hair shine and keeps it tangle-free.

Leave-in serum:

If your hair is extremely dry, you can use a leave-in serum. The serum should be used after shampoo and conditioner. After applying this serum, there's no need to wash the hair.
