Moisturizing after a bath is essential in winter. The market is full of countless skincare products but how do you know which one is right for your skin? Moreover, most store-bought moisturizers contain chemicals, which may end up harming the skin. Those with sensitive skin often cannot use these products either.

According to dermatologists, if you understand your skin type and make your own moisturizer at home, nothing could be better. But how do you prepare it? Here is a simple method.

How to make it?

Ingredients:

Shea butter

Coconut oil

Almond oil

Beeswax

Vitamin E oil

Essential oil

Method:

Using the double-boiler method, place a small glass bowl inside a larger pot of boiling water.

Add shea butter, coconut oil, and beeswax to the bowl and melt them together.

Once the ingredients blend, remove the bowl from heat.

When the mixture cools slightly, add almond oil, vitamin E oil, and a few drops of any essential oil you prefer.

Blend everything well using a blender.

If you do not have a blender, use your hands, keep mixing until it becomes thick and creamy.

This moisturizer is excellent for very dry skin.

What about oily or acne-prone skin?

Ingredients:

Aloe vera gel

Glycerin

Rose water

Jojoba oil

Method:

First blend the aloe vera gel until smooth.

Add glycerin, rose water, and jojoba oil.

Mix all ingredients well and store in a clean glass jar.

This moisturizer works well for oily, acne-prone, or sensitive skin.
