In today’s world, we have so many gifting options. Starting from customized items to electronic gift subscriptions, there is an abundance of gift options.
However, despite the tests of time, one gift has always remained popular for any event, chocolates.

Speciality of Chocolates
According to Karan, in contrast to other gift items, which require thorough knowledge of the person’s tastes and interests, chocolate is always acceptable as a gift.
They may also represent gratitude towards someone, mark important events or simply bring pleasure on an ordinary day.

Karan further said, “Each generation has had its own experience of receiving or giving chocolate as a gift. The older generation is reminded of their festivals with families, treats for their children after coming back from school, birthdays or other occasions.”
Even today, the younger generations also understand the importance of chocolates as gifts.
Ways of gifting chocolates
It is not always the occasion or the costly gifts, but the intent behind the gift also has a great impact.
Chocolates fit perfectly well in larger picture of gift giving and not just be a standalone gift due to its versatility.
Karan also noted that chocolates with a hand written note, or the recipient’s favourite book, or his/her photograph or even a small potted plant will make for a brilliant personalised gift.

Chocolates have always been associated with large celebrations such as Diwali, Christmas or Valentines day. However, even smaller milestones can be recognised by chocolates.
Accomplishing something big, welcoming a new member to the team, graduating from college, saying thank you to your mentor or visiting someone in a difficult time; can have a thoughtful gift such as chocolate. The importance mainly lies in celebrating the moment and not in its grandeur.
