Abhigyan Abhishek Kundu, the wicket-keeper batter of the India U-19 team smashed a double century against Malaysia and with that he became the first Indian youth to smash a double century in cricket. He decorated his innings of 209 runs in 125 balls with 17 fours and 9 sixes. The young brigade of India is now playing in the ACC U-19 Asia Cup. They smashed their first two opponents UAE and Pakistan in their first two matches and now put a humongous total of 408 runs on the board.

In this match, India’s youth sensation broke a 23-year-old record by surpassing the highest score of an Indian in youth cricket. In 2002 Rayudu scored 177 runs against England. From now on the record book will remember the name of the 17-year-old young prodigy.
Blistering batting performance by Team India
Batting first, two of India’s youth sensations Ayush Mhatre and Vaibhav Suryabhanshi came to open the innings. Vaibhav smashed a solid fifty while the Indian captain Mhatre failed to convert his start.
After that, Vedant Trivedi along with Abhigyan Kundu started the showdown and formed a 209-run partnership. Vedant scored a solid 90 runs but departed off a delivery by Jaashwin Krishnamurthy, it was his only wicket in the innings. Kundu took the battalion on his shoulder and continued to strengthen his legs in the crease. Man of the match from the last match Chauhan gave good support to the wicket-keeper batter and formed a crucial 87-run partnership.
