India, led by Suryakumar Yadav, will face South Africa in their first Super 8 match of the T20 World Cup 2026 on Sunday, February 22. The high-voltage clash will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad and will begin at 7:00 PM IST. The toss is scheduled for 6:30 PM IST.

Both teams have been in top form so far. India finished at the top of their group with four consecutive wins. They survived a scare against the USA and then registered convincing victories over Namibia, Pakistan and the Netherlands to remain unbeaten in the opening round.

South Africa, under Aiden Markram’s captaincy, also topped their group with four wins. They secured a dramatic double Super Over win against Afghanistan and recorded comfortable victories against Canada, New Zealand and the UAE.

Interestingly, India and South Africa were also the finalists of the T20 World Cup 2024, where India defeated South Africa to lift the trophy. Both sides will now look to continue their winning momentum and earn two crucial points in the Super 8 stage.

The match will be telecast live in India on the Star Sports Network. Fans can also watch the live streaming on the Jio Hotstar app and website with a subscription.
