The 2026 T20I World Cup is starting in a month, and before that, league cricket is ongoing worldwide. In the SA20 league, Donovan Ferreira’s all-around performance outclassed the Durban Super Giants in a tight clash. The match ended with a super over and a total of 410 runs in 20 overs was made in the match.

In this match, the new Rajasthan Royals player Donavan Ferreira batted, bowled and even worked behind the wicket. Giving the team flexibility added more strength to the team. After this, the Super Kings went to the top of the points table.

A thriller that ended in Super Overs

Winning the toss Aiden Markram the Super Giants captain called the Super Kings to bat first. Stalwart Faf Du Plessis and 25-year-old Matthew De Villiers made a spectacular 89-run partnership. Suddenly, Super Kings' innings halted for a few moments as 4 more wickets fell for just 67 runs.

Chasing the target of 206 runs, the Super Giants failed to make a cracking start. Later, Aiden Markram, Klassen and Evan Jones expressed themselves with a full swing. Evan Jones made 43 runs in just 17 balls. Super Giants almost crossed the line until Richard Gleeson went for only 4 runs in the 19th over.

In the 20th over when just 1 run was needed in the last ball Donavan Ferreira ran out Eathan Bosch.

In the super over Jos Buttler and Eathan Jones were only able to score 5 runs, in reply, Rilee Rossouw hit two fours to secure the match for Super Kings.

Donavan Ferreira and his all-around performance

Ferreira in this match performed in every aspect, in the team list his name was there as a keeper but he kept his gloves off for few moments and Matthew De Velliars took his place. He rounded his arms in the middle. With the bat, he hit four sixes and 1 four to make 33 runs in 10 balls. With the ball, he picked a crucial wicket of Henrich Klassen and in the field, he made run out Eathan Jones to turn the game on their side.
