Palash Muchhal hospitalised due to sudden illness
According to a report by NDTV, Palash developed a viral infection and severe acidity, following which his family took him to a private hospital. Doctors treated him immediately and confirmed that the condition was not serious. After receiving medication and observation, he was discharged the same day and returned to the hotel.
The incident added to the stress surrounding the celebrations that were already shaken by a medical emergency in the Mandhana family.
Smriti Mandhana's father under medical observation
A day earlier, Smriti’s father, Srinivas Mandhana, complained of left-sided chest pain around 1:30 pm. Family doctor Dr Naman Shah said the symptom resembled angina, and the family quickly called for an ambulance.
As per the reports, the doctors at the hospital began conducting an ECG and other tests, which revealed that the cardiac enzymes were elevated; therefore, they kept him under observation. His blood pressure was also high, and the medical team has been working to stabilise it. Dr Shah said that an angiography might be required in case the condition deteriorates further. Currently, he remains admitted but stable and recuperating.
