Venkatesh Iyer is all set to play for RCB in the 2026 IPL as the defending champions bought the KKR star at 7 crore rupees. In the IPL Auction 2025, RCB was in a bidding war with KKR. The fans get to see the same energy and image in this year's Auction too. Both RCB and KKR went for Venky but RCB won the race and grabbed Venky in just 7 Crore rupees which is a 70.53% from the last year. He earned 23.75 crores in 2025.
At first sight after the auction, it looks like Venky Iyer will take over the role of number three, in the setup, however, they have also Devutta Paddikal who did the needful with the number three position quite well last year. Now with Venky added to the team how they will look forward to it will be interesting to see.
