'People in Kolkata spent 14,000 rupees to meet some GOAT without the dots': CPI(M) leader Shatarup Ghosh mocks Aroop Biswas for glueing with Messi all the time

Police authorities have already detained the core organiser of Messi's G.O.A.T India Tour, Satadru Dutta, over mismanagement.

Football superstar Lionel Messi's G.O.A.T India Tour Kolkata part has turned into a major chaos, as thousands of fans were left disappointed. The event was called off by Messi's security team a couple of minutes after the football legend entered Kolkata's Salt Lake stadium. Fans have blamed the organisers and their severe mismanagement behind the incident.

CM issues apology to the football legend and fans

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has extended her apology to Lionel Messi and all the sports lovers through a post shared on her X handle. In which she has highlighted, "I am constituting an enquiry committee under the chairmanship of Justice (Retd.) Ashim Kumar Ray, with the Chief Secretary and the Additional Chief Secretary, Home and Hill Affairs Department, as members. The committee will conduct a detailed enquiry into the incident, fix responsibility, and recommend measures to prevent such occurrences in the future."

Politicians slam the ruling party

On this day, CPI(M) leader Shatarup Ghosh satirically stated, "Today we have witnessed the humongous popularity of Trinamul leaders. People in Kolkata spent 12,000 to 14,000 rupees to get a glimpse of Aroop Biswas. We never knew Aroop Biswas was this famous. Today, we finally witnessed that. People got tickets for the G.O.A.T event to see the G dot O dot A dot T. Instead, they got to meet some GOAT without the dot."

BJP minister Sukanta Majumdar has shamed the West Bengal ruling party leader, Mamata Banerjee for this massive incident of mismanagement that has caused this severe level of pandemonium. The Union Minister has stated in a post shared on his X handle, saying, "Today thousands of sports enthusiasts gathered at the Yuva Bharati Krirangan for a glimpse of the prince of football Messi. But the administrative disorder reached such an extreme that he was forced to go back!"

He also shared in his post, "CM Mamata Banerjee should resign right now! As the Chief Minister, all the lack of planning by the police-administration and the responsibility of this severe disorganisation rests on her!"

Authorities response to the chaos

The core organiser of Messi's G.O.A.T India Tour, Satadru Dutta, has already been detained, as per the West Bengal Police Director General Rajeev Kumar's statement to the press. The police authorities have also stated that actions will be taken accordingly, as the FIR or complaints will be filed.

The authorities have also added, "The first stage would be, as said earlier, law and order; peace has to be restored immediately, and that has been taken care of. There are no more gatherings left, be it in the streets or in the stadium grounds. Traffic is normal. People have all gone back home. No major incident of injury has been reported."
