Delhi leg of ACG Jr. NBA 3v3 concludes as Nehru World School win U-14 boys’ title

The Delhi leg of the ACG Jr. NBA 3v3 tournament showcased top U-14 talent, crowning new boys’ and girls’ champions

The ACG Jr. NBA 3v3 National Tournament has completed its Delhi leg. The tournament is an NBA-recognised nationwide school-based tournament for U-14 boys' and girls' teams. The official website of the Jr. NBA India reads that since 2013, the Jr. NBA program has touched over 14 million young people and 15,000 physical education instructors in 35 Indian cities. The ACG Jr. NBA program is part of the NBA's overall basketball development operations in India, which include partnerships with local businesses and federations. These initiatives include the NBA Basketball School, a network of tuition-based basketball development programs for male and female players aged 6 to 18, and Basketball Without Borders Asia, the NBA and FIBA's global basketball development and community outreach program, which has been held in India twice.

The 12th edition of the program is being held in collaboration with ACG, the Basketball Federation of India (BFI), and Skechers as the official kit partner.

Tournament roadmap

Top teams from each zone, including two boys' and girls' teams and one all-star team from both the boys' and girls' divisions in each zone, will advance to the ACG Jr. NBA 3v3 National Finals Tournament early this year.

According to a release, Aanya Singh from Shri Ram School, Moulsari (U14 Girls) and Ansh Tomer from Nehru World School (U14 Boys) received the Skechers MVP Award for their great performances throughout the Delhi leg of the event.

Results of the ACG Jr. NBA 3v3 Tournament

In the U14 Boys - Tournament, Nehru World School has won the competition. Ansh Tomer, Darshil Singh, Jatin Sharma, Maan Singh, steller perfor,ences helped the team to get the positive result. On the other hand, Ankush, Kartik, Ronak, and Vineet’s effort for the Mann School fell short in the last match and ended up as the losing side, and they became runners-up of the tournament.

Rohit Rathee (GSSS Nimdiwali, Bhiwani), Tarun (Bharti Public School), Parth Chaudhary (Ch. Kehar Singh Divya Public School), and Vansh (Nehru World School) stood out for the All-Star Team-Delhi.

The Shree Ram School, Moulsari, U-14 girls also showed great resilience in the tournament and became the champion side in the girls' leg. Aanya Singh, Joy Solanki, Nyra Khosla, and Yashvi Jaipuria provided stellar performance for the team.

Meerut Public Girls' School’s dream was shattered as Gargi Yadav, Gaurangi Rastogi, Priya Rana, and Vani Gupta’s Road for the next leg came to an end, and they won the runners-up trophy.

The girls' All-Star Team: Delhi includes Tilkita (Mount Carmel School), Saanvi Singh (Shiv Nadar School, Noida), Aaisha Attray (Shiv Nadar School, Noida), and Samriddhi from DPS, Greater Noida.

This year, the ACG Jr. tournament is taking place in Ludhiana, Chennai, Udaipur, New Delhi, Guwahati, Bengaluru, Prayagraj, Mumbai, Kochi, and Indore.
