Hockey India on Monday announced a 31-member squad for the Senior Women’s National Coaching Camp, set to be held from April 1 to April 9, 2026, marking the beginning of preparations for a packed international calendar.
The announcement, made in New Delhi, outlines the core group of players who will be assessed as the team gears up for major tournaments later this year.
The Indian team heads into the camp with strong momentum after securing a silver medal at the FIH Hockey Women’s World Cup 2026 Qualifiers in Hyderabad, which also confirmed their place in the upcoming World Cup.
Camp schedule and training focus
The nine-day camp will focus on building team combinations, improving fitness levels, and refining tactical structures under the supervision of the coaching staff led by Sjoerd Marijne.
Players will be closely evaluated in high-intensity training sessions, making this camp a crucial step toward final squad selection for upcoming tournaments.
