When uploading photos to Instagram stories, it often feels like the picture would look better with a bit of editing. Previously, this required going to a separate photo editor app. But that hassle is now gone. Through Instagram's new 'Restyle' feature, photos can be edited while uploading stories. This feature will offer everything from changing backgrounds to adding new elements and even applying special visual effects.

To use this restyle option, users need to tap the '+' sign at the top left of the Instagram screen to start the story upload process. After selecting a photo, the paintbrush-like icon that appears on screen is the restyle button. Tapping on it will bring up AI-based editing options. Users can change the look of their photos according to their preferences, without any third-party apps.

This feature is not new. Previously, such restyle facilities were available within Meta's integrated AI chatbot. Now, the same technology has been directly integrated with Instagram story uploads. As a result, the entire process of editing photos and sharing them is becoming faster and easier. This is particularly beneficial for those who regularly post content, as it saves significant time.

Currently, uploading photos and videos quickly is extremely important to stay trending on social media. Technology experts believe that such instant editing features are being introduced, keeping this need in mind. Google Photos' 'Help Me Edit' feature also offers almost similar facilities. Overall, it can be said that modern AI technology is now providing the opportunity to complete photo editing work at the time of upload itself.
